North Carolina lawmakers are considering a proposal that would move vehicle registration cards and renewal stickers from paper to a digital system as part of the state’s proposed budget.
The move should "reduce administrative costs, streamline vehicle registration processes, and enhance efficiency," per the budget proposal.
Both chambers anticipate voting on the budget this Wednesday and Thursday, according to House Speaker Destin Hall.
