NASA has announced the four astronauts who will take part in the next mission of the Artemis moon program, kicking off a year or more of mission-specific training for the Artemis III crew.

Artemis III will test docking capabilities in 2027 with commercial lunar landers from SpaceX and Blue Origin.

Artemis III will be led by mission commander Randy Bresnik, a retired Marine Corps colonel who became a NASA astronaut in 2004, officials said Tuesday at the Johnson Space Center in Houston.
