NEW YORK CITY -- A child has died after being struck by a school bus in a hit-and-run crash in New York City, police said. The 11-year-old girl who was attempting to cross the street was hit by a school bus that did not stop just after 3 p.m. on Thursday in in Bath Beach, Brooklyn.

A school minibus was stolen and driven over moorland before it was found abandoned with a large part of its engine missing.
